In vitro study | MM-102, as a mimetic peptide of MLL1, exhibited high affinity with WDR5, corresponding to an IC50 and Ki of 2.9nM and <1nM, respectively. In MLL1-AF9 of the transfected murine cells, the expression of two important MLL1 target genes (MM-102), which are required for mll1-mediated leukemia formation, was specifically reduced by HoxA9andMeis-1. In addition, MM-102 efficiently and selectively inhibited the growth of leukemia cells containing the MLL1 fusion protein and induced apoptosis of these cells.
